And they called the next day..."you can bring your daughter in today to be seen."
We are on vacation and my back went out, severely. I was in tears all morning when I decided to ask my husband to drive me to an urgent care because I could not walk without crying. Dosher was the closest location so we walked in. The receptionist asked why I was there and I told her back pain. She asked if I had chronic back pain which I replied yes since I normally do but not like this or to this intolerable degree. (Side note, I have not taken one pain medication since my back surgery in 2011.) The receptionist curtly told me they do not treat chronic back pain. I told her my back was out and I was in incredible pain. She told me then they could see me and the wait would be 3hrs. I totally understood the wait time seeing that it is urgent care. However, she was not very kind and I immediately decided to try another provider. I also did not ask appreciate having to answer these questions in a crowded wait room with no privacy. Living with back pain for 18 years, I am used to the stigma that is associated with it but there can be legitimate pain that should be treated with compassion and care. I appreciate providers ensuring they are not perpetuating the opioid epidemic but please do not do so at the expense of quality patient care. The next provider did not judge me and provided the care that I needed (none of which involved a prescription for pain meds).
We were visiting from out of town and my 21 month old son had been running a fever going on 3 days and so we brought my son here after the first urgent care place told that they don't see kids under 2 so we went to this place and the first comment I made was "oh the first place we went said they didn't accept patients under 2." I don't appreciate them telling me after already waiting for 10 minutes or so "oh by the way we are only seeing patients 12 and older today"
First my SON was already seen at the ER. Second they didn't want to see us the day before because they were about to close and they decided after filling out paper work and waiting that they didn't want to see us today because they didn't want to stay.
What a rude unprofessional group of people that work there. They especially need a better group there from the receptions on up..I will not go there again.
Waited 2 hours just to see a nurse who thinks she knows my body better than I do. I tried to explain to her that my body generally runs at a low temperature so when I am sick I don't register as having a fever. I have had numerous sinus infections over my 59 years of living and know the symptoms. She outright refused to give me an antibiotic and was generally useless. Would not go to this place again. Also, I expect to see a doctor at Urgent Care.
I was grateful to receive professional, prompt medical attention at this facility. I got very sick while in town on vacation. They listened to my concerns, did the appropriate labwork and exams, and walked me through the referral I needed to get to the hospital for further testing. When my results were in, they examined me again and answered the many, many questions about my diagnosis. I would recommend this urgent care center to others.
