We called all the Enterprise's in Wilmington, NC until we could locate the one with our vehicle.
Worst experience ever. If you don't want to be left stranded after making a reservation 1 month in advance DO NOT rent from Enterprise. They take your reservation then tell you sorry-we ran out of vehicles. Go to Budget-they helped me in 2 minutes after 4 hours of going to 3 different Enterprise locations and being told-oh well-it happens that we run out of vehicles.
The both times I've rented I've had a great experience. The staff has always been very kind sweet and thoughtful. Thank you will be renting again soon!!
I made reservations one week in advance and when I went to pick the car up they told me they had no cars to rent nor did they contact me to inform me of the situation. Absolutely unacceptable! This has been a horrible experience and I recommend renting from anywhere else. Rent from somewhere that has actual cars to rent. Not Southport Enterprise. They also lied and said they didn't have my contact information. You have to have a contact number to make the reservation. Very disappointed.
I was down from Ohio visiting family in Southport and needed a car to go Fayetteville. I went there at 9 am, after calling them at 8 because I was informed that they had cars to rent. I get there only to be told to call back at 11am. I did, was told to keep calling that they were waiting for a car to come in, actually several. Throughout the course of the day and 5 or 6 calls later at 4:45pm, I was told that they could have the Wilmington branch hold a car for me, that was a 30 min. drive away, that's why I called a LOCAL agency! If I'd have wanted to go to Wilmington I'd have went there to begin with. The employees were misleading and rude at this location and I would not recommend booking a reservation at this time with them. I know I never will.
What a waste of three hours.
We were then told there was one in Wallace, NC we could pick up (about an hour away).
We've had a van reserved for a few weeks. We called yesterday to confirm, and they said the van was there.
We called them and they told us it was not there.
We received a call this morning, letting us know the van was upgraded to a 15 passenger van at no charge. Then when we picked it up, we were informed that it was recalled, so he'd be unable to let us use this.
